Anglican Aid

The Archbishop of Sydney's Anglican Aid also known as Anglican Aid is the aid agency of the Anglican Diocese of Sydney. We seek to show the love of Christ to people in need in Sydney and overseas. We see that it is important to meet the immediate needs of refugees, including food, shelter and spiritual support. We are also conscious that many refugees will never be able to return home, or at least not for a long time, and therefore they need assistance to build a new life for their families away from home that includes education for refugee children, support for refugees with additional needs, and other services.

Our refugee programs primarily focus on South Sudanese and Syrian refugees.

Emergency Aid funded in part by Anglican Aid sent in May, 2017

We would like the RIDE funds to support South Sudanese refugees. Funds raised will be sent to the Diocese of Kajo-keji (part of the Episcopal Church of South Sudan and Sudan). It will be used to purchase maize, hand hoes, mosquito nets and blankets for South Sudanese refugees who are sheltering in camps in northern Uganda. The church is also sending emergency provisions to refugees caught in IDP camps within South Sudan.

We are looking to raise $2000 this year.
